Salary range: £82,691 - £101,260 p.a
The post-holder will lead a high-performing service with opportunities to innovate and strengthen support for our children in care and care experienced young people. The post-holder will also be responsible for in-house fostering, adoption and permanency planning.
An ambitious and driven candidate with experience in local government or a similar sized public sector organisation, with a recognised Social Work qualification and registered with Social Work England, you’ll have proven leadership skills and wide knowledge of the needs of children in care and care experienced young people.

The post-holder will lead a well-regarded service, delivering highly effective, early-intervention support across a wide range of disciplines including our innovative Family Wellbeing Centres, Youth Offending Service, youth offer and early years, maintaining effective and collaborative partnerships via your team of dedicated professionals.
You will already have a good understanding of relevant legislation and guidance as well as current national policy direction as it affects children and young people’s services. The role requires an ability to work at a strategic level, scanning the horizon on behalf of the department, supporting the senior management team in setting priorities for the medium and long-term.
